About Joe

Joe graduated from Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, Colorado with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Oregon, and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Joe is an advocate for better mental health engagement in faith communities. He believes every person is created in the image of God, and they are created for connection. Joe has a deeply rooted belief that healing takes place in the framework of relationships.

He offers counseling services for couples, individuals, families and adolescents. His counseling services seek to meet a full range of needs, including but not limited to: couple’s counseling, including marital and premarital counseling, attachment issues, life transitions, complex bereavement, grief, depression, anxiety, mood issues, trauma, abuse, and conflict resolution.

Joe has over twenty years of pastoral ministry experience, and is also trained in pastoral care counseling, where he opens space to process mental health issues that relate to church trauma, belief systems, personal spirituality, or religious traditions. He also has a desire to help pastors, ministry leaders, and their families find wholeness, healing, and hope. He does this by creating a safe place of confidentiality, trust, and belonging.

"The most helpful and therapeutic agenda on the planet is that God’s message to the world revealed through the life of Christ and the Word of God is he loves the world and desires to forgive and heal all those who are alienated from him.”

— Eric Johnson, God & Soul Care: The Therapeutic Resources of the Christian Faith
